Frequently Asked Questions

Am I too old for osteopathic treatment?

Osteopaths treat people of all ages. For older adults, we use gentle, adapted techniques that respect your medical history and health status. Our goal is to support your body's ability to maintain balance and movement and activity comfortably and confidently.

How can osteopathy help prevent falls?

By addressing joint stiffness and improving muscle coordination, osteopathy may help improve factors that contribute to balance and stability. We also provide specific advice on individual based exercises and others like Tai Chi , Yoga , Pilates to further reduce fall risks.

What should I expect during a home visit?

A full assessment is conducted first to understand your symptoms and medical history. Treatment is then delivered comfortably in your own home, often involving gentle stretching, massage, and joint mobilisation techniques.

How does osteopathy work alongside my GP's care?

Osteopaths are statutorily regulated primary healthcare professionals. We often work alongside other healthcare providers and can refer you back to your GP if further medical investigation is required.

How are your fees calculated?

Fees range from £50 to £65 based on travel distance and treatment duration. Sessions are comprehensive, lasting between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours depending on your clinical requirements.
